A perfect little session here in Borth. The wind that was supposed to arrive overnight had arrived by 1pm, so I went out on the sea front with my 99ltr board and a 5.7m sail.

I tried to persuade Dave and Gmac to come out, but they said it was too cold, so I had to go out on my own. it turned out to be perfect as I ws perfectly powered up, so was straight onto the plane, but not overpowered and able to go wherever I wanted in the easy conditions. I made some good jumps and some really nice gybes on the face of the swells out the back, some of which were chest high at around 3pm, Ben came out to join me, which made things a little more fun, but he was struggling to get going with his 5.3m sail. Richard also came out, but his 6.3m was too big so he went back in and changed down to a 5.8m. The wind picked up a little about this time, so I put on some more outhaul and was still perfectly powered up. Every now and then the swell seemed to get a little bigger too, allowing for some litle backside wave rides and some bigger jumps.

Richard mananged to put a big hole in his 5.8m sail as soon as he got on the water, so had to change back up to his 6.3.

A big squall came through then and so I decided to call it a day as I was now overpowered and had been on the water non-stop for 4 hours anyway.

All in all a good day.
